What a gorgeous couple Brian Forsberg & Hollie Hogan make.  They were married at the beautiful La Caille on Saturday, May 15th.   We wanted to share their love story with you.

Brian & Hollie were set up on a blind date by Hollie’s uncle & Brian’s boss at the time.  They obviously are a great match.  They enjoy being outside, especially camping, four-wheeling and playing basketball.

What Hollie likes most about Brian~ “He makes me laugh everyday”

What Brian likes most about Hollie~ “How can I narrow it down to one thing, I love everything about her.”

These two are so cute.  I love their answers.

The Proposal~ Hollie entered one of her patients rooms at the hospital where she works and there was a patient wearing a mask and gown & laying in the hospital bed jabbering away in Spanish.  She didn’t recognize him or the fact that there was  a dozen roses right on the bed.  Brian surprised her and popped the big question.  Hollie said this was the best surprise ever.   Loved this idea- so fun!

Their Song~ They don’t have an official song, but if Hollie were to pick one she would have to say the Chris Ledoux song “Look at You Girl”.  It is such a great, fitting love song.

Honeymoon~ The happy couple is so lucky to have spent their time together in St. Lucia for their honeymoon.  I am sure it was incredible. St Lucia is such a gorgeous spot.

Wedding Colors~ Their wedding colors are dusty rose & black.

Flowers~ Bellessa Designs was their florist.  Hollie grew up with Jamie.  Hollie said this about Jamie “She has been so great, easy to work with and does an amazing job.  She did my sisters wedding and I would not have had anyone else do my flowers.”

Cake~ Carrie’s Cakes made their cake, this is what Hollie said about Carrie’s Cakes “The cake is so delicious! They do a wonderful job.”

Advice from Hollie~ “Don’t sweat the small stuff, everything will come together and nobody will even notice the little things that may be such a big deal to you.  I have had it pretty easy on the planning side of things, my mom is super planner and has pretty much handled everything.. I just have to show up and make final decisions! It’s been so much fun!”

Shara Debenham & Stephen Blunck were married 4/30/2010 in the Draper Temple.   They are such a great couple & we wanted to share their story with you.

How they met: Shara & Stephen were in the same ward at BYU in the fall of 2007.  However, Stephen had seen a picture of Shara before they ever met.   Shara went on study abroad with Stephen’s brother-in-law’s sister to Romania.  While they were on study abroad the sister in-law sent a picture of the two of them to Stephen’s family.  When Stephen returned home from his mission he found the photo on the fridge and thought to himself that he would really like to date a girl like that.  It just so happened that they ended up in the same ward.  Stephen was interested in Shara right away, Shara fell for him when he came by unexpectedly to bring her soup, tissues and cough drops when she had caught a cold.  What a sweetheart. They dated for 2 years before they got engaged.

Engagement: “ One day in early October of 2009, I walked out the front door of my apartment to find a rose on my doorstep.  Throughout the day, I found roses for me everywhere I went (on my car, on my desk at school, etc., etc.).  Later that night while I was waiting to meet up with Stephen on BYU campus, I was suddenly approached by three guys in dark suits and sunglasses (Stephen’s roommates).  They blindfolded me, grabbed my backpack, and escorted me along for about 10-15 minutes.  They wouldn’t say anything to me while we walked!  Eventually they told me to sit down and I realized I was at a place on campus that was a special place for Stephen and me.  It was a lovely fountain on campus and Stephen and I had walked there many times during our courtship.  Stephen’s roommates ran off and I heard music turn on.  When Stephen took off the blindfold, I found that he had placed candles all along the front of the fountain and in a big semi-circle around us.  Stephen asked me to dance and after we danced he had hot chocolate for me because it was chilly outside.  Stephen then proceeded to tell me a story he had made up (he tells great stories) and as he told the story, he handed me a rose at different parts of the story.  Finally when he had run out of roses, he got down on his knee and proposed!  I could hardly see because I was crying I was so happy!”

What are your wedding colors: Dark pink and baby blue.

Location for reception: They had  a luncheon at Millennial Falls and a reception at Heritage Gardens.  They will also be doing another reception in Oregon in Stephen’s parents’ backyard in June.

Rings: Wilson Diamonds in Provo (Shara received 40% discount on Stephen’s ring since Stephen purchased her ring there.)

Advice from Shara: “Lots of people will try to tell you what they think you should do with your wedding.  Be considerate and open to ideas, but remember that your wedding should reflect the style and personality of you and your fiancé, not the style and personality of everyone else!  Many of the decisions I made regarding my wedding were originally opposed by others because they were not traditional, but I am really happy with how everything turned out!”

Brittany & Brandon were married this past Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Salt Lake Temple and their reception was held at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

Their wedding was so beautiful.  Thanks for letting Swensen Photography be part of your special day.

Brittany & Brandon met at Weber State University 5 years ago in a business class and they love being together.  They enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, biking, scuba diving, going to the gym, crossword puzzles, playing racquetball and they also do crafts together.  They just enjoy spending time together.

The Proposal~Brandon proposed to Brittany by using the Amazing Race theme.  The Amazing Race is the only TV show that Brittany watches so he set up a mini amazing race with a tape recorder of him telling about their favorite places.  He sent her to the place where they had their first kiss, their first I love you & lots of other fun places.  At the end he was there & proposed.  What a GREAT idea Brandon- props to you, so fun!!

Honeymoon~This lucky couple will be heading to Puerto Rico on their honeymoon.

Wedding Colors~Their colors for the wedding are black, bright green and a touch of eggplant purple.

You only have one chance to get your wedding images right.  Don’t take a chance on a photographer who doesn’t have experience.  There are many unexpected things that happen at weddings, weather, accidents, disasters, we have seen it all.   We know how to overcome any unexpected event and still capture incredible images.  We also know how to capture the smallest detail of your wedding. You can’t redo a wedding.  Because of our many years of experience we will provide you with amazing images from start to finish, that you will love & will be proud to have on display.  Every picture will look good not just the ones we photo shop.  Many photographers shoot between 3000-5000 pictures and then delete the ones that aren’t good- they usually end up with about 600-800 pictures.  That is not what we do at Swensen Photography.  We take pictures start to finish without deleting unwanted images. All of our pictures are GREAT from start to finish.  There is no need to delete our pictures, we know how to get great shots & we do just that!
